RIP Bob Leggett
Everyone at Phibsboro Chess Club was greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Bob Leggett. Bob was a long time member of the club, who served as Club Secretary and on the committee for many years. A special memory for the club is when Bob captained the Bodley Cup winning team of 1986 (see below).

70 years young in 2024
The club celebrates in 70th birthday this year. Events will be announced to recognise this.
The 2023 AGM takes place on the 4th of September
The 2023 AGM takes place on the 4th of September. All members are asked to attend. Prizes from the 2023 Club championships will be presented on the night. It is a good opportunity for members to play their annual club membership fees.
Team captains will be contacting members about forming teams for the 2023-24 Leinster League season.

Club Championship Results
The Club Championships finished up on Monday, with Dave Salter and Lukasz Kwiatek finishing joint 1st, with Kevin Butler in 3rd. Well done to all who played and to Brendan and Mick for organizing it amidst the venue upheavals.
