Thanks to everyone who attended the Summer Blitz last night. Well done to Mohammad for claiming the spoils. Many thanks to Brendan C, Bernard, Brendan R., Tony M and Mick for organising it. It was a good chance to see the Clareville venue. Don’t forget the EGM to discuss the club premises for next season is on next Monday at 8pm, all members are asked to attend.

For the next four weeks, we are trying out Clareville Day Care Centre, Glasnevin, as a possible new venue. We meet tonight at 7:30.
We ask all members to visit the premises so we can have feedback as to how it suits.
Also since it is a residential area we ask all members to be respectful and quiet while leaving the premises.
The Club Championships finished up on Monday, with Dave Salter and Lukasz Kwiatek finishing joint 1st, with Kevin Butler in 3rd. Well done to all who played and to Brendan and Mick for organizing it amidst the venue upheavals.
Please note a special EGM will be held in the Teachers club 36 Parnell Square next Thursday 13th June at 8pm sharp.
Agenda. To discuss the future of the club, to find new suitable premises to play chess.
Any member who knows anywhere that we can use please tell a committee member so we can check it out.
A full attendance of members is expected so everybody can have their say.
Sadly An Oige informed us that they are closing the Dublin premises in mid-July. So we have to source alternative premises at quite short notice.
So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions could they let one of the Committee (Bernard, Breandán, Brendan, Mick, Conor, Tom Paddy or Peter) know and we shall investigate and hopefully we can find a suitable place asap.
The Last Round of the Leinster Leagues takes place in ALSAA, Dublin Airport, on Sunday 19th of May. The Heidenfeld starts at 10AM.
Best of Luck to all our sides.
Another great night of blitz chess in the club. Well done to Oisin for winning the competition, and to everyone who played. Many thanks to Bernard, Herbert, Mick and Brendan for organizing the competition.
