The club celebrates in 70th birthday this year. Events will be announced to recognise this.

Prizes from the 2023 Club championships were presented by Club President Bernard Hegarty at the AGM on the 4th of September. Congratulations to all and special thanks to Brendan Clare for organising.

The 2023 AGM takes place on the 4th of September
The 2023 AGM takes place on the 4th of September. All members are asked to attend. Prizes from the 2023 Club championships will be presented on the night. It is a good opportunity for members to play their annual club membership fees.
Team captains will be contacting members about forming teams for the 2023-24 Leinster League season.

Club Championships 2023
The 2023 club championship will take place over the summer, to facilitate participation of players in the leinster cup competitions, Branagan, Killane and Willie Breen Cups, it will take place in an accelerated format, with 2 matches a night of 25minutes each without increments
Chess Talk – thinking “One Step Beyond”
You are invited to a chess talk in Clareville Community Centre on Monday 27th February starting at 8pm.
Kevin Butler from our Heidenfeld team will make a presentation. Kevin has
played chess at the highest levels for many years. His talk will be of great interest to all players seeking to develop their chess knowledge.

Heidenfeld Result Round 7 v Blanchardstown
A narrow win v promotion chasing Blanchardstown 4.5-3.5, wins for Oisin and super-sub Tony Duff, draws for Luka, Kevin, Conor, Colm and Art. A bit of a break until our next game due to the by in round 8
Heidenfeld Result Round 6
The Heidenfeld side had an outstanding result winning 7-1 v Inchicore on Monday, perhaps the ball bounced our way in a number of games but wins for Luka, Kevin, Dave, Conor, Colm and Oisin, and draws for Art and Tom.
Heidenfeld Round 5 result v Elm Mount
Our second match of the year and second match of four mondays in a row playing! Away to our neighbour Elm Mount, we won 4.5-3.5 with wins for Conor and Kevin, and draws for Oisin, Colm, Art, John and Ferghal.
