Good luck to our Armstrong, Heidenfeld and O’Hanlon teams in the final round of the Leinster Leagues this weekend which takes place in the Teachers Club on Parnell Square.

Happy New Year to all, don’t forget the chess club reopens on Monday the 5th of January.

Again the christmas blitz was a great night in the club, some 30 or so participated, and the competition was ably marshalled by Mick and Herbert. Congratulations to Kevin and Lukasz who took the spoils and well done to everyone who played.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. The club will reopen again on Monday 5th January 2015.

Phibsboro’s Armstrong team recorded their second win of the season, a narrow victory away to Elm Mount B, last Monday, 1st December. The individual winners on the night were Lukasz, John, and Algimantas, while Herbert, Conor, and Tom all drew. Tony and Bogdan worked hard but were undone in complicated games. The final score was Elm Mount B 3.5, Phibsboro 4.5.
