Armstrong Cup Result v St. Benlidus
The Armstrong Team scored an honourable 5-3 loss against a very strong St. Benildus side, an excellent win by substitute Mohamed and draws by Art, Fergal, Herbert and a draw by Kevin against Stephen Brady(once of this parish).
The Final Match is on on the 19th of April.
Narrow loss to Elm Mount A in the Armstrong Cup
The Armstrong team narrowly lost 4.5-3.5 to a strong Elm Mount A side. Excellent wins for David and Colm, and draws for Herbert, Lucacsz and Tony. The next match is another tough one away to St. Benildus.
Armstrong Cup v Gonzaga Result
The Armstrong cup team lost 6.5-1.5 against a very strong Gonzaga side (league leaders)- some good preformances and draws for Kevin, Herbert and sub Colm.
Some recent Heidenfeld Results
Some recent Heidenfeld Results – Phibsboro drew 4-4 with Lucan, and lost 5.5-2.5 against Drogheda
A Difficult Night for the Armstrong Team
The Armstrong team suffered a heavy 6.5-1.5 defeat away to a strong Dublin University side last night. With a bit of luck, we might have picked up an extra half-point or so, but an upset was always unlikely. Out-rated on seven boards, our next match will be even harder – Gonzaga will most probably out-rate us on all eight boards.
The struggle continues…
