Leinster Leagues 2007-2008.

Congratulations to our Armstrong Cup A Team for winning the Leinster League Division One title again with Stephen Brady(FM), Xavier Busig and Kevin Butler winning board prizes, Xavier had an outstanding 100% record for his nine games in the season.
It was hard luck for the Armstrong B Team after a gallant battle all season who shall be playing in the Heidenfeld Trophy next year.
It was a very successful season in the leagues overall for Phibsboro chess club, with the club also winning the Division Three Ennis Shield title, our bodley cup team also won the division 6 title and promotion to the BEA next season, it was nearly a full house as our Division Four team very narrowly missed out on winning the O'Hanlon Cup and coming second by a half a point and winning promotion to the Ennis Shield league.
The final rounds of the leagues were excellently hosted again by Inchicore Chess Club in St Michaels Community Centre, and thanks to all those involved in making it a very enjoyable day.
